Anime Doodle 01
Biro on Paper
A5 (5.83 x 8.27 inches)
Since I finished my latest work, Aurata, Vrou, Josei, I have had a couple of weeks break from my art. It is nice to just stop and relax and refuel my creative well. (I will blog about the piece once the exhibition is finished).
Two nights ago, I decided it was time to start something new.
I wasn't sure what I wanted to paint or draw.
I thought that I should prepare for my next big piece, but then thought it's too intense just before bed.
I thought about getting my brushes and paints out, but it is too bothersome just before bed.
So within my bed's reach, I grabbed the closest sketchbook and the closest pen to me.
I thought to myself, I will doodle.
As I did, here are my thoughts...
What do I draw?
I like anime eyes.. always have. Maybe I should start with that...
Actually, thinking about it, I haven't drawn my latest anime eyes using biro..
This will be an interesting experiment.
I kind of like it actually... I might as well draw a face since I started it already.
Actually, I don't know how to draw a nose.
Well, I am sure it will be fine... let's give it a go.
Her nose looks weird! haha.
And the lips? Well... since the nose looks weird, I will venture out of the normal anime style and try to draw lips in an illustration kind of way.
Okay, I am not used to seeing lips like these, but it kind of works with the weird nose.
Let's give her a face shape and hair!
It's weird starting with the eyes and the face shape comes after.
Oh eyebrows! Don't forget that.
I think I should give her curly hair. There is always more to play with curly hair.
....
The next thing I know, the doodle turned into a mini piece!
This is a happy result from what was just supposed to be a doodle!
I now believe that without expectations, wonderful things happen!

I love ball pens as well there absolutely amazing I personally use ballpoint for sketches my fav brand is Bic! Check out my blog as well I'm just starting off my art blog!
